Lydia graduated at the top of her class from Anystate University. Lydia didn’t continue her education after graduation because she began her career as a coder at Medical Records at Rosewood General Hospital. Lydia had passed her registered records administrator exam. A few years later she was promoted to Assistant Director of Medical Records. Lydia met a man name Theodore, later that year but married him that following year. Lydia continue her job as Assistant Director of Medical Records for three more years but soon had to resigned her position due to her husband transferred to another state, she had to relocate along with their 2-year-old daughter.
Lydia had accepted a position as Lead Coder at Greenlawn Hospital by Lydia outstanding professional growth; she was soon promoted to Assistant Director and eventually Interim Director of Medical Records at Greenlawn. During her term as Interim Director of Medical Records, the American Medical Records Association it was changed to the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Lydia help change the name of the Medical Records department at Greenlawn to Health Information Services. During her time there Lydia was pregnant with twins during her time.
Lydia continues her education by attending seminars to ensure she was up to date due to the changes in the Health Information Management career field. Lydia stay updated with the dynamics, rules, and regulations related to PPS, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, corporate compliance. Lydia outstanding performances lead her to get the position as permanent Director of Health Information Services.

Lydia began to face ethical issues because she failed to keep up with her credentials through (AHIMA). Lydia thought about considering what she would need to do to get her credentials reinstated, but she felt as if she didn’t need her credentials reinstated in her life at this time due to been busy with family and work.
Lydia husband had to transfer again which mean that her and the family will have to relocate causing Lydia to have reasoning for ignoring her reinstatement. Lydia and the family had relocated to Springfield. She had a close friend that went to AnyState University, he was Director of Health Information Management field in Springfield he was looking for a Coder Manger and offer Lydia the job when he found out she had to move to Springfield. Lydia also had tutor Fernando in college. Fernando thought about her abilities so he didn’t require her to a coding test prior to employment. He didn’t think to verify her credentials due to her previous job experiences. Plus it didn’t require Springfield Memorial Hospital to have credentials for coders.
